Doutzen Kroes is a Dutch supermodel, actress and environmental activist. She has kept an adaptive and impressive longevity in the fashion industry and continues to be one of the most in-demand talents today.
Born in the northern region of Friesland, Netherland, Kroes covered her first magazine, French Elle, in 2004. Since then, she has landed covers of the American, Italian, French, Japanese, German, Spanish and Dutch editions of Vogue, as well as Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, Porter, Numero, Marie Claire, Porter and Glamour.
Kroes’s philanthropic mission is spearheading KnotOnMyPlanet as it’s global ambassador, a social campaign raising money for the Elephant Crisis Fund. Through strategic partnerships with Tiffany & Co., Holt Renfrew and Loewe, to date, Kroes has raised over eight million dollars of funding for the protection and rehabilitation of Africa’s elephants and their surrounding habitats. Her ambition for activism shows no signs of letting up, as Kroes has described these initiatives as her life calling.
